The Maya Paradise web site forums are divided into four sections:

Please read this before posting:  This is a semi-automatically moderated forum. Messages that trigger the spam/content filter will not appear until approved by the admin. Clean messages will appear immediately.

Membership is not required to post simple messages. However, if you want to post messages containing links or photos, send an email request to felipe@conexion.com and we will send you the instructions on how to do it.

The spam filter is set pretty tight.  This means that some innocent posts will get marked for moderation.  Those posts are not lost, they simply have to be approved by an administrator before they will appear and that might take a few hours.  Keep in mind that these forums are primarily for travelers, tourists, and cruisers to obtain information about Rio Dulce and Guatemala.  Other topics are welcome but are not the primary focus.

Forum Rules:

  1. Abusive messages, flames, uncomplimentary remarks about private individuals, and spam will be deleted.  (The exception to this is the Political section where politicians and public figures are fair game.)

  2. Please try to keep threads on topic. If the conversation wanders away from the original thread's title, please start a new thread.  Topics started in the wrong sections will be moved to the correct section.

  3. Many people use this forum looking for help and information about the Rio and its businesses. Please try to be helpful.
